The #1 Way To Plan Your Day

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Everybody knows that it’s good to be organized. And yet the vanilla calendar apps out there make it such a tedious and uninviting process that few of us actually get there.

Habitica revolutionizes all that by making the very process of getting organized a fun experience in itself…making it hands down the best daily planner app I have come across.

Self discipline, personal accountability, a plan of action – these are the things we need if we want to avoid drifting aimlessly through our days…and now, you can have fun while you get things done!

How It Works

When you enter into the Habitica environment, you’re turning your whole world into a big role-playing game. You create a character for yourself, and from now on, whenever you cross a task off your to-do list, you’re unlocking money, equipment items and other rewards while levelling up your character! If you love games, or are of the slightly geeky persuasion, you’re going to absolutely love this!

Best features

Habitica has some specific features that I think transform it into the best daily planner app out there. Here’s a few of the things I really like:

  1. Accountability

There’s an extremely social aspect to Habitica in the sense that you are encouraged to join parties, which are groups of similarly minded people who complete quests together. These quests give you further rewards…but, should you fail in your to-dos, your shortcomings will impact the whole party and not just yourself. This adds a nice touch of personal accountability and team effort to the business of getting things done.

  1. Develop habits

As well as helping you to get through your daily to-do list, Habitica also maintains a broader focus by encouraging you to work on your longer-term habits – both building up healthy habits and eliminating unhealthy ones. In the separate Habits column, you can input any habit you would like to work on, giving yourself bonus rewards for good deeds and penalties for unhealthy behaviours. It’s nice to see the app acknowledging a longer term focus alongside getting tasks done on a daily basis.

  1. Free

Last, but by no means least, Habitica is an open source project, and entirely free to use. In other words, there’s absolutely nothing lost giving it a try!

Get The Best Daily Planner App Yourself

Habitica has both iOS and Android apps as well as a desktop version, available at habitica.com.
