The market for education is changing – forever?
Students at the world’s top universities usually pay six-figure dollar amounts to get a place at the exclusive universities. Most of the time, it pays off. Not only because of the high-quality education, but even more because of the numerous contacts one builds there. When you study with the children of ministers and managers, certain networks are formed. Children of ordinary earners only had access to this noble club if they were particularly talented and performed excellently.
Things are different today. The gates have been opened wide. The reason for this is Covid-19. In my opinion, you should definitely take advantage of this opportunity. I experienced it myself when I did an internship in China in 2002. At the time, it was almost a sensation. Almost every time I applied, I was invited for an interview. Everyone wanted to see the exotic who had managed to get a place in the Far East. A degree from one of the world’s elite universities is guaranteed to have the same effect. It will be a piece of paper that will open doors and gates for you forever.
You should seize this opportunity. Of course, Corona has changed a lot. But if at some point the virus becomes nothing more than a faded memory, then the universities may close their doors again very quickly.
